I have come to know that we learn much more of what is important when we concentrate on helping others than when we concentrate on our own challenges.

More than anything else we should be concerned about meekness, or our standing in God's sight. If that standing is as it should be, nothing else matters. If it is not, nothing else counts.

When we are ready, [Jesus Christ's] pure love instantly moves across time and space, reaches down, and pulls us up from the depths of any tumultuous sea of darkness, sin, sorrow, death, or despair we may find ourselves in and brings us into the light and life and love of eternity.

Only that which lasts forever is real. That which is done in the temple lasts forever therefore, the temple is the real world. Most of what we experience out there, such as sickness, wealth, poverty, fame, etc., lasts for only a short period of time, so it is not the real world.

There is something eternal in the very nature of writing, as is so graphically illustrated by the scriptures themselves. In a very real sense, our properly written histories are a very important part of our family scripture and become a great source of spiritual strength to us and to our posterity

Keep your eye on eternal goals

Jesus made saving repentance possible and He made baptism meaningful.

You cannot compromise principles to achieve unity

I further testify that when we eventually see things through the proper perspective of eternal truth, we will be amazed at how much we were blessed in important though often unperceived ways through keeping the Sabbath Day holy.

God's love fills the immensity of space therefore, there is no shortage of love in the universe, only in our willingness to do what is needed to feel it.

Nothing spiritual to write? Then have spiritual experiences.

We should always pray for help, but we should always listen for inspiration and impression to proceed in ways different from those we may have thought of.

Sometimes God calms the storm and sometimes He calms his child.

We can leave a place behind, or we can stay in that place and leave our selfishness (often expressed in feeling sorry for ourselves) behind. If we leave a place and take our selfishness with us, the cycle of problems starts all over again no matter where we go. But if we leave our selfishness behind, no matter where we are, things start to improve.

There is great power in loving, consistent, fervent family prayer. Don't deny your families this blessing. Don't allow the strength that comes from family prayer to slip away from you and your loved ones through neglect.
