I'm an engineer by trade so I've always been interested in engineering and technology but also I've a strong interest in self build and off-grid properties and how it would affect us in terms of lifestyle.

I had been self-publishing for a number of years at that stage and selling my books at markets around Melbourne - little pocket books. I'd make them for 10 cents and sell them for a dollar. But I knew there was an audience who loved silly stuff so I just kept plugging away.

I had a healthy curiosity and would try things on - play lots of practical jokes. But it was more in my head - fantasies of What would happen if...? Like what would happen in class if you took all your clothes off and you ran around the room?
